Being “unpresidential”
The greatest leaders of history were human. They were flawed, often course or ill-mannered. The people thought to be great in their time but later faded from historical significance were more often than not, polished posers who followed a script of predictable decorum. Greatness overrides the trivial. Good manners and support by establishment drones are not a prescription for greatness. Accolades from media and academics are hollow sources of insight. With rough edges the true heroes of time leave their mark. In a mere popularity contest, the popular may win but seldom guide people beyond anywhere but transience.
